The first incarnation of the group was formed, by Tracii Guns, in 1983 but disbanded in 1985 following its merger with fellow Los Angeles group Hollywood Rose, becoming the first lineup of Guns N' Roses. Which happened later because L.A Guns would never release another listenable pice of music again. Guns is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1983. ![]() I think Phil the singer was recruited via phone from England and they hadn't even MET him prior to pre-production for the record.So things were moving too fast for anyone's ego to screw it up. So I think they had no time to do anything, they had like a week to get songs together another week to do the record, and were on tour the week after that. Capitol records? During the Gun's N' Roses mania period, when every label had to get their own GnR band out there quick. I do know this song was written by Kelly Nichols their bass player, and it wasn't "His band" So maybe Traci Guns didn't want to push a song that wasn't his? I think L.A Guns were pulled together by. Speed" by KISS or "Hybrid Moments" by The Misfits or "She Said Yeah" by the Rolling Stones songs that are so incredibly AWESOME, it's bizarre the artists and their labels never noticed. But this song TOWERS above ANYTHING L.A Guns ever did, and is right up there with anything on Appetite for Destruction, or the highly underrated first Faster Pussycat record (Yeah, I get it, like L.A Guns, Poison, and Motley Crue everything Fater Pussycat did after the first record sucked, but that first record is a Glam/Punk classic) There are other good songs on that first L.A Guns record (No Mercy, One more reason.Sex Action was pretty good) But this song should be in rotation on Classic Rock Radio. Why this isn't considered one of the greatest songs of the Hair Metal era will always be a mystery, maybe its too much of Punk song? I guess that's it, because that's essentially what it is.
